The Wii version is not a watered down version. It is not a port of the PS3/360/PC versions or a port of the PS2 version; it was made for the Wii first and foremost. It has the same story and basic gameplay of the HD version but that's it.
BUT always glad to see more people excited about Ghostbusters. ^^
