For example the PS2 would not have sold millions more units if it had been a worldwide launch compared to the staggered launch it had because it was very much limited by supply at the beginning. Aligning the systems by worldwide launch gives the PS3 and 360 each a ~8M lead over the GC and Xbox, but Wii has a ~19M lead over PS2. Which gives it the biggest gap in both raw numbers and in percentages. Those are the numbers. |
Surely you have to consider the time each console has been on the market. Why wouldn't PS2 sold as much as it did if it was launched at the same time everywhere?
