Apparently the greatest crime in the world today is to threaten the profits of multinational corporations. But yeah, this particular decision will solve nothing - this trial will end up lasting for years, and I personally find it hard to believe that PB will lose out in the end.
Besides, taking down individual pirates and torrent sites is similar to trying to kill every current and potential terrorist on the planet - it's not going to work.
