That's a terrible excuse. Look at the debuts for Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, or Wii Fit. They all had big debuts and legs. Look at New Super Mario Bros. if you want an example of a DS game with a big debut. This is a series known for having huge launch weeks, and the DS userbase is 100 million (about 75 million not counting Japan). The PS2 has a similar userbase size when San Andreas came out and the game debuted to sales of almost 4 million (and those numbers include Japan). All I'm saying is that there is no good reason for this low debut. It might have legs and be successful, but the first couple weeks have been pitiful.

That's a terrible rebbutal. I did not claim there were no such games at all, for one. For another, San Andreas was after two GTA games had made the series a fanbase on that system.
All I'm saying is that this debut has plenty of reasons, and claiming there isn't just makes you look narrow-minded.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
