Lost Odyssey has about 15 hours of cinematics. It came on 4 discs.

No way it was that much!

It's not quite 20 hours. It's about 15. Bear in mind thats not all CGI. In Engine cutscenes also take up alot of MB's to, becasue the animation and graphics are slightly different. But yes ALL the cutscenes take up greatly more space than the rest of the information. :)

I think we have differing definitions on cinematics (CGI) versus cutscenes.

My original point was that any type of cutscene takes up more memory on the discs. :)

It's true. Voice acting definitely takes up some space!
