To answer the rest of your venting, LittleBigPlanet would not sell better on Wii (it wouldn't run on Wii...if it did, they'd have to downgrade the graphics and physics, and downsize the level creator. And by then, you have a pretty crap game, which would not sell 2 million, even on the Wii) MGS4 would not sell better on 360 (Obvious one. The Metal Gear fanbase is on PlayStation) Killzone 2 would sell better on 360 (NA is shooter land, NA is 360 land. The 360 has double the PS3's userbase in America, plus Microsoft would be able to megaton advertise. No question). Incidentally, Resistance 2 would also sell better on 360. Valkyria Chronicles would NOT sell better on Wii (There's really no reason why it should, niche is niche.) Perfect Dark Zero on Wii...hmm. Tough one. On the one hand, it would be nothing more than a reasonably good FPS on both 360 and Wii, 360 is a much better FPS seller. On the other hand, it's a sequel to Perfect Dark... I would say it would sell better on 360 because hardcore Rare fans willing to buy something like Perfect Dark Zero probably don't own Nintendo consoles anymore. I can, however, say with confidence that Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery and Lost Odyssey would all have sold better on PS3 or Wii, because the PS3 has triple the 360's Japan userbase, and the Wii has heptuple (7x) the 360's Japan userbase. There, reasoning. |
Just to be clear, I just put some random titles on random different consoles and threw it together. I don't actually believe the stuff I said (or maybe I do, I haven't even thought about it at all).
In response to your JRPG stuff... I agree that several of them probably would, but I honestly do not think that Lost Odyssey would've sold better on another console. NA sales did a lot for that title.
