Because what teenager could possibly afford a PS3?    Actually, you are probably right because with the 360's lower price, parents buy them for their kids.  If you went by purchaser age, the PS3/360 would be about the same.

Taking that measure maybe Wii purchasers are the oldest, as in general I don't think 6-11 year olds buy consoles for themselves, they get them from Santa.

When the 360 was priced 119 Euros (including 19% taxes) around here for the holiday season a lot of preteen boys seem to have gotten a 360 instead of a Wii from Santa or Sinterklaas (half the price of a Wii during the holiday period).

Oh well, in due time the PS3 will be less expensive and they can graduate to a PS3.

 

Why would they need a PS3 if they already have a 360?
