err no... I much prefer American vehicles because they are traditionally better.

I wouldn't say they are better, but they actually are on par these days with a lot of foreign cars compared to how things used to be.

 

I've worked with plenty of people who are auto technicians. All state that American cars are less fragile to work on then Japanese/Foreign cars. Only cars that arent are the expensive high quality cars like Ferraris, and VW has pretty good quality.

 

That's funny, the technicians I talk to keep saying European cars that are actually assembled and manufactured in Europe are in a whole other league. The ones manufactured in Mexico of course fall apart almost as much as chinese products did back in the day.

 

Yea, I have a German car, and it's never once had an issue. I drive the shit out of it too (was up to 135 on the way home last night :p). I also have a GM truck, the 4WD and the transmission have both failed. The Porsche is one year older as well (2000 @56K miles, the truck is 2001@ 55K miles).

As for the truck, I love it. I have a heavy boat, and do not trust a foreign truck to pull it (the Nissan is nice, but still not build well enough for towing). So the truck is the best for the task, just not the most reliable.

I got into a really bad car crash last year. Guy slammed into the side of my vehicle doing 60mph. I doubt that id be alive if it wasnt for the fact my Ford Explorer has an insanely strong frame. I of course rebuilt my Explorer, had to replace some panels; the bumper; battery; the right front wheel assembly; ande a bunch of other stuff, and its driving 100% perfectly. All for $800 including being repainted.

Tell me how many foreign vehicles can do that? I doubt many can.

 

1 Ford and 1 Honda have rear-ended my Volvo, older ones. They both got towed to the GY because they were useless. I have 2 chinks out of my bumper. Didn't even bother talking to insurance, jsut felt bad. So yes, I'd tear through your car in half. Also it's 19 years old and 250k life and only thigns I've had to change are rusted out wires. Amercan cars are shit in comparison.
