Making a large number of good games is a good point about Sony.  Yes, it's part of an attempt to sell more consoles and games, and the price of the console has limited that success, to date.  Sony's ability to make a large number of good games, going forward, is an asset.  Price changes will happen.

And as starcraft pointed out, Sony has yet to drop some of their primary IPs, while MS has already dropped theirs (new great IPs will still be born from either publisher, of course).  That fact, plus the price issue, when combined with the strength of the exclusive games roster, will as always determine sales going forward.

Sales data isn't some kind of defense against the point that Sony can, does, and will, make large numbers of good games.
