Firstly, 2006-2007 were awesome in terms of 1st party releases. Metroid, Mario, Zelda, Excite Truck all so close together. Lately, however, I've been buying mainly Sega games on the Nintendo console. Mario Kart was good but not great. After that, Nintendo has released nothing great.

I still think that the wii was a great idea. I still think Nintendo has plans for the future and I don't count them out. 2008 was a pretty disappointing year for first party support and 2009 has started off slow too. Punch out is something to look forwards too.

I'm not interested in Animal Crossing and I'll be honest, I just didn't enjoy the DS zelda as much as previous Zeldas. I will say that Spirit Tracks looks better though.

I do see it as a threat that Wii Fit has sold so well. Will Nintendo forget about its long time fans? But I give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt. I think Nintendo respects its long time fans too much to ignore them.
