Let's face it life after death is nowhere near as likely, it's just a notion that was used to scare religious people back in the dark ages into giving their money away and acting under control.

 

U just dismiss religion like that? U know it's very hard to find any tribe or civilisation in human history that wasn't spiritual or religious. The idea about an afterlife is hardly limited to just a bunch of corrupt medieval priests.

OK, it has been done many times in many religions much to the same effect. But a lot of people know that Hell was made up to scare people into behavng and such. I imagine that the whole notion of heaven or hell in any religion was made up so that people believed that if they lived immorally they would still suffer the consequences after death.

 

M8, u can accuse Christianity for scaring people with punishment after death, and thereby trying to control people, but you can't generlize that assumption to all religions. It seems u just assume stuff out of ignorance. Religion and the idea of an afterlife ain't just there invented as some form of a mind control method, it's a lot deeper and universal than that.
