Extra terrestrials, since they almost exist because the universe is so vast and the variables of lifeforms are immense.

Let's face it life after death is nowhere near as likely, it's just a notion that was used to scare religious people back in the dark ages into giving their money away and acting under control.

U just dismiss religion like that? U know it's very hard to find any tribe or civilisation in human history that wasn't spiritual or religious. The idea about an afterlife is hardly limited to just a bunch of corrupt medieval priests.

OK, it has been done many times in many religions much to the same effect. But a lot of people know that Hell was made up to scare people into behavng and such. I imagine that the whole notion of heaven or hell in any religion was made up so that people believed that if they lived immorally they would still suffer the consequences after death.

I'm not denying the fact that an afterlife exists, I'm just saying that it is unlikely IMO because history has shown people have a habit creating different versions of the afterlife to get what they want. Hell* being one example.

If I somebody gave solid evidence of an afterlife or showed some solid examples, then perhaps I would see it as more liekly than extra terrestrials, but for now ET wins in my book.

(*not heaven, that originally in the bible)
