Super Metroid vs. Symphony of the Night

These games are pretty similar in gameplay, and I think they're both invaluable gems, both worthy to be counted among the best games of all time, no doubt.

But which one is the best of the two? Personally, I'd say Super Metroid, but I still love them both almost equally.
