GOW has a little fanbase than HALO
FF XIII might but absolutely no, even with 360's sales
but combined the two games, maybe yes
i predict, GOW will have 700k-800k range
then FFXIII will have 1.5m for ps3 alone and 800k on 360
but even my prediction is not even close to HALO's superb 1st week launch...
GT might(its a possibility) overpass HALO's domination...

regarding which is popular, GT or HALO, i think GT WAS popular but HALO IS popular... get it? hehehehe :), even in my country which has a significantly low
user base of 360(or even xbox 1) than PS3(which is not a suprise), HALO is very known...
as for racing games, GT is not even known, NFS(PS2) is well known here...
but GT is popular around the world( i know it) its just, HALO is much more popular
