I'm not a fan of all these family games but ads are generally going to be focused to those who would probably watch the particular program. Also, ads for hardcore games don't need to be advertised as much since fans of that genre will find out about those game. Your mom isn't likely to search the web and subscribe to gaming mags to read about Carnival Games. So companies need to advertise more to reach mom. And lately Ubisoft has probably given us more harcore than Nintendo. Blame all these 3rd party publishers all you want but it's Nintendo that started this. |
