He's the Co-Owner and CEO of id Software so despite he isn't involved a lot with the games, he's the guy that brings control on everything. BTW it's interesting that nobody remember the bad story of id with Nintendo, back in the old days they release Woldfestein on SNES (with censoership and terrible changes) so they gave the code for SNES cartidges to Wisdom Tree. The result? The only unlicensed game on the SNES: Super Noah's Ark
They've quite a bad relantionship.
