You said you were sick of everyone saying that The Conduit was the first 3rd party game with effort, because Red Steel was the first.  So, it was either I take your word for it or the majority's.

I own WaW.  It's o.k., but lacks a lot of modes and replayability.  Also, the graphics aren't terribly good (as opposed to what I do know about The Conduit).  The Conduit's going to have, at the very least, a far greater variety of multiplayer options (and the like), and if it has even a similar level of gameplay and originality (which shouldn't be hard), the diverseness of modes, the far better graphics, the exclusiveness of the title (which lends itself better to the systems strengths), and the incredible controls vastly outperform WaW (and especially MOH, another one I've played).  Yes, it could be another run-of-the-mill FPS, but we haven't even had that on the Wii yet.

I don't think that anyone ever accused Red Steel of not having effort put forth.  The problem with the game is the fact that it was put out a little early in order to reach the launch date.  This resulted in some minor bugs.  The controls for the sword play were a bit clunky but this was the first game to ever try it.  The shooting controls were also the first of it's kind along with COD 3 which was released on the same day if I'm not mistaken.  The graphics were actually really good.  If you don't believe me, look at some screenshots.  The four player split screen was basic but fun.  Unfortunately, you're the type of guy that reads reviews and bases your opinions on this.  You aren't the type of guy that actually plays a game and comes to your own opinion.

What makes you think that the controls in the Conduit will be incredible?  Honestly?  Is this what you read someone say?  You also say that they will vastly outperform COD: WaW and especially MoH.  This is laughable.  I think that I'd be with the majority when I say that MoH's controls are much better than COD: WaW's.  Not that I care about being in the majority, but that seems to be important to you.  This brings me to another point.  I don't forsee the Conduit's controls being better than MoH's.

I just hope that the Conduit is decent because the Wii needs more decent shooters.

"Unfortunately, you're the type of guy that reads reviews and bases your opinions on this.  You aren't the type of guy that actually plays a game and comes to your own opinion".

When that's all I have to go on (like I said, you claimed it was good, everyone else doesn't.  What choicewould be the better one?), then that's all I have.  Furthermore, that is the issue: people are excited about this game because all other effort sucked.  So, bringing up reviews and other people's opinions is quite relevant to the issue.  They don't think there's really been any efforts, The Conduit obviously has effort going for it, so there excited about it. I'm merely defending mine and everyone elses excitement over the game.

A fully customizable control scheme, everything from a full ranging deadzone to any-button layout, is better than either MOH or WaW. Furthermore, intuitive use of the Wiimote is obvious from gameplay videos (the gun that fires a rocket (or something like it) that follows the IR pointer), and another such weapon put it on par with the intuitiveness of MOH's controls.  And I said the multiplayer modes and obviously better graphics will outperform the offerings of the others (notwithstanding, Red Steels' splitscreen (which I care little for)), and as it won't be too hard to match the gameplay efforts of either MOH or WaW, then the Conduit has quite the jump on them.  I'm not saying the multiplayer modes will be great efforts, but if I'm given the choice between nothing and something, which would be a better choice?

"I just hope that the Conduit is decent because the Wii needs more decent shooters".

We can both agree on that.

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.
