I mean, yes, I would love to see my motions perfectly replicated onscreen.

But how does that make for a good game?

If you're playing a 2 player lightsaber dueling game, and there's no "block" button, no "super speed", etc, just swinging 1:1, you and the other player are just going to jab forward, trying to stab the other person in the gut. Defending would be very hard, because you'd have to line it up perfectly to block. You could just flail like crazy and you'd be able to get through.

A game with limited motion, the ability to have blocking, powerups, etc, would make for a much better game experience. Swinging left to right, right to left, up to down, down to up could make for a more enjoyable game.
