But honestly what i mean by that is game sales do have something to do with popularity but you should not base popularity on the sales alone...my bad i worded wrong.  but hopefully you will see what i mean by that. 

 

Sales really do show popularity of a certain game....Not quality.   You're confused.  In that context,  Gran Turismo (the Franchise) is far more popular than the Halo Franchise.  User base doesn't matter in the argument.  Why?  It doesn't matter. More people have owned and played Gran Turismo in some iteration...instead of Halo. (It's more popular by that alone).     Additionally...I wasn't aware that Gran Turismo 3 released so recently...

 

Give it up kid.  You love Halo and that's wonderful.  It's a good game. It's just less popular than Gran Turismo.
