In its first 52 weeks from its initial launch, it's the best selling game ever.

It may very well be the second highest grossing game ever, but it's more likely to be 3rd or 4th. I estimate the list is now

1. Wii Fit > 1.5B

2. Pokemon Blue/Red = 750M-1B

3. MKWii (?) = ~ 750M (?)

 

Then there's a few handheld games at ~ 20-25 million sold, which would translate into a 500-750M

 

It's gonna get to second soon anyway.

 

It will soon be the best selling console game (non-bundled) ever.

It will soon be in the top 3 best selling games ever in Others, bundled or not.

It's the best selling racer game ever.
