Just release wii sports resort or some new colors if your not going to cut the price.

You know that alone will have a significant affect.

Big games don't do as much. Yakuza 3, Demon's Soul, and white knight story boosted ps3 sales for the week but in the grand scheme of things it didn't do that much. The PS3 is barely above the wii.

BTW I know the demo for ff13 is coming out soon and I know there will be a boost but I don't think its gonna increase the PS3s weekly average by much.

There are couple of things i want to say about the bolded part.

Firstly Demons Soul is not a big or establish franchise and it has more than doubled its launch week sales.. which is really very very good in Japan for PS3 game. and without any major advertisement... so calling it a big game is simply wrong i believe.

Secondly these other games have done well in the respect that they have pushed avg weekly sales of PS3 in 20k.. which is without any price cut and any major release.. So with no new release on Wii and PS3, PS3 is winning.. Otherwise we have seen how short PS3 boast use to be, that with the release of MGS and other mega hitters of last yr, it wasn;t able to win even a single month against Wii.  So definitely now we are seeing more consistant sales of PS3 hardware and also Software. PS3 software are remaining in Top 10/30 for considerable more period of time..

So in the grand scheme, it does show that PS3 has still a very good chance of putting up good numbers in Japan if it continue to get software.. I mean if it keep getting some major release every month and some good title every other week, it is going to be a considerable force in the market. Selling 1:1 to Wii is a lot better than selling 1:6 to Wii, which it was managing last yr..

Credit should be given where it is due.
