Does it really matter? If the best selling movies are hovering around 100,000 units it is unlikely that more than 200,000 or 300,000 PS3 owners are buying Blu-Ray movies, thus my statement that most PS3 owners have never bought a Blu-Ray movie is (likely) correct. It also means that current sales of HD movies are well under 5% (probably close to 2.5%) of DVD sales. At the same time it was commented on in January that Blu-Ray had passed HD-DVD in total movie sales yet (when this data was collected, obviously months later) Blu-Ray has not really gained much of a lead; certainly the biggest titles have sold more on Blu-Ray but it is possible that HD-DVD has a smaller (more dedicated) userbase.

your statement is likely WRONG.
I got a PS3 and 2 BR movies..... Both have their hardcore fans that buy almost anything, differance is BR already has casual movie buyers.
Why do you think Br outsold hddvd 9-2 ?.....
Br sales were below hddvd without the PS3... but with the PS3 they are now 9-2!..... are you missing the connection ? is it so hard to see, seriously.
Look at the sales spike one week after PS3 is released.
