So no, you're wrong. Atmosphere is created by the designers, not by the graphical output.

People who say graphics are needed for atmosphere have obviously never read decent books.

 

I don´t think they ever read a decent short story either or a decent comic book  (which doesn´t focus on the visuals) either.

Jokes and other oral stories must be a bitch too suffer thorugh too without the visual stimulation.
