This is a re-imagining of the first game, not a re-make. That's a key point you have to consider. I've never played Silent Hill games, but this looks fantastic, and the development team are treating the Wii with a respect not often seen from third parties. IGN are very positive about it, and had this to say about that screen with the flashlight: "The flashlight looks pretty good in this screen. In motion, you'll be blown away."
Clearly this isn't going to match up to 360 or PS3 style graphics, but it will be a clear step above last gen graphics, hopefully. It's good to see the Wii being used as a lead platform, it's about time third parties treated the machine and what it can deliver with some respect. Hopefully this is just the beginning of what third parties can do with the Wii, and we'll see similar efforts come along soon.
