The thread is specifically about Japan. Manhunt 2? I doubt anyone in Japan has even heard of the game. Zack and Wicky? You sound pretty confident about that. Can't say I share your confidence. Comes out the week before Mario too. Smash Bros doesn't have a release date in Japan yet. No idea what PS3 releases have to do with this, but whatever. |
If you would read the post better from the thread starter you will see he was also pointing out to the US:
"In the US if 360 starts outselling it consistently for the next few weeks the Media will pick up on this which will stream down to the public and all of a sudden buyers will feel the Wii is not such a hot product after all and the 360 is the video game to pick up (at least those that can afford it which seems to be many). This would then cause Wii to lose its momentum in the US."
Manhunt 2 is very hyped in the West and Zack & Wicky? That game was applaused by the audience during the TGS plus hyped in the US. No but Smash Bros will have a release date as soon as Nintendo has its "own show" next month, there's probably no doubt about that.
And what it has to do with the PS3? If you're talking about Japan.. take a good look at the PS3 line up for the up coming months in Japan... Ratchet & Clank Future and perhaps a Imabikisou and Eye of Judgement, are the only interesting titles to boost PS3 sales, which personally bugs me. And do you really think they will sell more than a Mario Galaxy? I don't think Mario Galaxy will sell as much in Japan comparing to the rest of the world but the first few weeks should show at least some high sales. Plus on the WII Japan has, Nights, Naruto Shippuuden Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX2, Zack & Wicky, No More Heroes, Umbrella Chronicles, Dragon Ball Z Sparking Meteor, plus probably more announcements, like a Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.
Speaking of Nintendo's show next month, will 3rd party developers also be there or is it Nintendo only?
