EA: You can't just port to the Wii

EA's Peter Moore has told the MI6 conference that making games for the Wii must be a ground up affair. He noted that you simply can not take what you are doing on a system such as the PS3 and port it over to the Wii. We guess it took them a while to realize that.

In a recent address made at the MI6 conference, Peter Moore, president of EA Sports, talked about how making games on the Wii must be a ground up experience.

Peter Moore states, “You simply can’t take what you’re doing on the Ps3 and Xbox and port - thats a dirty word- down to the Wii.”

Peter mentions how EA have learned their lesson and strives to correct this misstake. Talking about Grand Slam Tennis, “EA has never shipped a tennis game,” with the addition of Tiger Woods and EA’s Active, EA is making a big step in the right direction with game choices. Golf and tennis are well suited for the Wii and we are really glad to see companies finally starting to get what the Wii is all about.
