Not at all.
Halo 3 came off a franchise where each game averaged 6-7M+ sold.
Gears2 came off a game with a 6M+ userbase.
Killzone 2 came off a game with a 2M+ userbase.
Halo 3 launched in the holiday season along with a price cut.
Gears 2 launched in the holiday season along with a price cut.
Killzone 2 launched in February with a $400 price tag that hadn't dropped for more than 14 months.
How easy it is to ignore everything isn't it. Not to mention that Killzone 2 internet hype has no relevance to real world hype so basing success or disappointment off that is already a mistake.
