@HappySquirrel - You should take a look at the entire presentation. The 2 slides that have been posted are misleading. The developer was discussing the advantages of running the rendering code on the PPU for debugging purposes, and comparing the performance enhancements when the code is fork-lifted to the SPE's for optimization. His point was the entire game can run on the PPU while debugging, and then easily migrated to the SPE's for optimization. I would guess that many multi-platform games run 90% of there code on the PPU's, and only utilize the SPE's for special case optimizations.

Why do you guys still argue the theoretical power of the PS3 or 360? There are enough platform exclusives to determine which console is more powerful. The theoretical discussions are no longer needed.

Regarding Jason Booth, he worked on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Both of these games look identical on the Wii/PS2/360/PS3. I don't think he is the best person to be making statements about the PS3's potential. By the way, who does he work with now?
