If microsoft pulled something like that sales will get really interesting. The reason being is because suddenly sales of the ps3 exclusive version in Japan would sell like 4 million to a platform base of 3 million (because of the region free baby). So in effect it would microsoft would fail in it's attempt to outsell the ps3 version from the start.
