The Wii got outsold in one territory for two months, during a software drought and some huge games for the competition. Stop the presses!

 

 

Wii sales in Japan for Q1 2009 are down more than 50% compared to Q1 2008. That's cooling down.

It's cooling down in Japan (due to known problems which can and will be fixed), but improving everywhere else. No reason to claim Nintendo as a whole is cooling down.

And then this quote from the article:

It's about Japan. The bit about trends in Japan being seen later elsewhere only reinforces the fact that this is Japan being talked about....
