@punisher; thats not really valid because the ps2 was only out in Jp for the first 7 months, wheras Wii was in all. [and ps3 was only in Jp + America for 4 months] @jimmay. prediction1 i think could hold true, that is assuming gamerankings is similar to metacritic, where things like motorstorm import version are included as well as motorstorm. That and i personally wouldn't agree with that many Tom Clancy or sports sequels being in the top 20.... but thats beside the point, your prediction1 may very well hold true. prediction 2 i still cannot see happening, 360 will probably 80-90% chance] have more, but ps3 has a slim [20-30%] chance of more than Wii, partly due to its low number of releases between now and xmas [though that fact may help individual game sales increase between now and xmas it wont help when better games in 08 come out, so most games that dont sell 500k before xmas wont continue selling]
