I orignally heard the story would be he was Darths secret apprentice. So he may have to fight storm troopers since Darth can't have an apprentice, remember there can only be 2 siths. In regards to the power of the new character, I like to think of force as one pool that both evil and good pull from, that is always balenced between good and evil, only difference is how many people are pulling from their respective sides. That's why Sideous was able to hide among the Jedi's. Since the new character maybe more good/neutral he maybe able to pull a larger amount of power from the pool. There is always a sway in the power if you watch the movies... I don't think Obi Wan would have beat Vader if it weren't for Vader killing all the younglings.
