I think a lot of the hate is brought on by the actions of some Wii owners. Some are in many HD game threads saying the games should be made for the Wii instead. Some predict the demise of HD consoles despite the fact that many fantastic games are coming for them. Some constantly bash HD controls despite the fact that the Wii's specs are on the opposite side of the same coin. I could go on but I think most reading this get the point already.
