Basically that isn't far off from what is going to happen, except you wont need glasses. Autostereoscopic displays are a range of displays that offer 3D without the need for glasses. The technology exists and gaming industires are pushing it. My dissertation is basically about when and how it will happen.

I hope it becomes true in a not so distant future. Games would so rule in 3D.
