I like Atari.... but the company lack version back in the mid 80s and 90s and even a little bit now, I think to myself that the bosses at Atari saw gaming as a kids toy. Their brought out rubbish after rubbish and never learned from they mistakes.
The Atari 2600 was a great console for its time and was sold for over 10 years. The Lynix was another great handheld, it had colours and good sound but lacked battery life and was pulled and not supported.
They release the Atari ST which was a great 16-bit computer but forgot to add that little chip that made side scrolling in game smooth
and with only 16 colours on screen at any time for games. Unlike that Amiga 500 which had a chip deicated to side scrolling and 32 colours on screen.
The good thing about SONY is that the PS3 had a really bad start but SONY contined to support the machine and will contine to support it long into the future, unlike what Atari and Sega did with their machines (just dropped them like a brick).
PC gaming rules.....
