I've read 150 posts (or something), and I still have no clue what you're really trying to say.

 

I'd like to give some constructive feedback, but people will just derail it more if you don't make any rails to start with.

 

 

 You are being reasonable and yes I will give you a reasonable response: I fear that Nintendo has become complacent even arrogant in their success. We have seen what happens when a gaming company gets too complacent. This gen we saw what happened to Sony. Actually we have even seen it happen to Nintendo in the past. I say Nintendo should be aggressively be fighting for quality 3rd party games on Wii instead of taking a "fuck you we are in first place" approach to it's lineup. In the short term it may work well in the long term it will hurt them. As Wii owners and fans we should not buy into BS PR spin talking about Core, casual, and niche. We should be straight up with ourselves and Nintendo that the lineup quality is staggeringly behind the HD twins.

Apparently, they're pleasing the users of this site, which are "core" (I too dislike that word), while they're mainly approaching their mainstream users.

 

Nintendo is releasing more quality games than any other publisher. By a huge amount.

 

So, the real problem is the 3rd parties. Can you blame Nintendo for that? No - you can't blame someone for selling more than their competitors. Now, why are they selling more? Well, probably because they hit their targetted audience. Obviously, this isn't the same audience as the Ps360 (which are very much alike).

 

Thus, Nintendo is left with some choices.

- Let their own games sell like hell

Or

- Somehow make (probably by paying) third parties that make less interesting games (on Wii that's the situation so far) make games for Wii.

 

You cannot blame Nintendo for this! They made the cheapest to develop for console - by far. Shouldn't that be enough?
