I don't think it will have any bigger effect than any other mobile phone. In reality, the mobile phones games market is quite big (well, depends on how "big" is determined, but bigger than people in general seem to think) and iPhone isn't a special device in the market. Growing processing power in the mobile phones and (semi)standard platforms like N-Gage 2 and iPhone, along with rising dev costs, may lead into more developement interest on phone platforms, but the real problem still remains, which is that people buy the devices for completely other purposes.
