.... the graphics in RE5 are a mixed bag of excellent and shite!
it is true and i do not exxagerate. whilst the character models are some of the best i have seen on a console, the texture on some of the objects is like something from last generation. by keeping the camera far the textures look decent, but some of the cutscenes give it all away.
another thing which surprised me was how static everything is. the rugs, curtains and clothes which hang off walls etc are like sheets of wood and cloth isnt the only thing, this also goes for pieces of meat etc.
the character models deserve a 5/5 for graphics, but nothing more. how people can compare the mixture of great and shite graphics to games such as gears, kz2 or even uncharted is beyond me. great character models with the amount of crap graphics are not enough to justify the graphical praise this game has been receiving.
