I understand perfectly and it doesn't make an sense. How will you play FPS with it? If the game is not programmed to allow IR, a motion controller wouldn't be of any use.
The only thing programmers could do is replace button presses with waggle all around. Only NEWLY released games could take advantage of the peripheral in any way...
