parent's tend to choose game that have percived value, so if they see 2 games with the same price, but one of the games has advertised that it has 20+ games (like carnival games) then more often than not they buy the one which has more percived value.
Trust me, I saw this happen at my local JB-Hi, 2 woman looking to buy a game for their child, one of them had SSBB and the other Carnivals games, the Mum decided to go for carnival games cuz it had more games than SSBB...as advertised on the box, and she even told the other woman that this game, carnival games, should last her child a long time.
