Yes, with more games and price drops, the PS3's sales will increase.  But the question is when those factors will happen.  6 months? 1 year?  2 years?  And how far ahead will the Wii (all 3 regions) and 360 (America only) be by then?  It's well into April now and the Wii is still selling out overall in all 3 regions.  The 360 is still selling comparatively well to the PS3 worldwide as well.

The longer it takes for the PS3 "Steam Train" to get going, the more damage it will take this generation, in both install base and 3rd party support.  Actually, in the last few months, the Wii's software exclusives have completely eclipsed the PS3 exclusives, and is now gaining ground on the 360's exclusive #'s.

Anyways, I'll go so far as to say the Wii may have the non-core gamer market all tied up for itself this generation, technically only being beaten by the DS. :) The core gamers, however, are still in free-for-all mode, and the Wii is looking to be a great 2nd console for most of them. :)

The 360 doesn't appear to be doing well. I could see wii having around a 10 million lead over ps3 by ends year. But it seems that the xbox 360 lead will grow smaller and smaller. I expect at the end of the year, if mgs4 and tekken 6 stays exclusive, ps3 will be around 12 million. Also if the rumour is true that the ps3 will have a pricedrop in october, this will make me believe that there is a chance of ps3 selling more then xbox 360. I believe that the lowest ps3 could sell first year would be 8 million, and at most 14 million. I believe that xbox 360 will sell only 6 million, and wii will sell around 20 million by years end. I don't think that wii has the non-core gamer, I think that most of the wii's sold were between the ages of 8-20. I don't think they have anything, gamewise, that appeals to the racing fans, sports fan, etc. I own the wii, and yes I think it is cool. But I just don't see it winning due to it lacking so much.
