Thats the point. It would be a "backwards compatible PS2" with motion controls, a PS2.5 if you will. Every Wii game could be ported to it.
They could call it something non threatening like a Pii. How genius whould that be? Sony could have a new console basically without doing much work. Hell the PS2 already rivals the Wii in power so why not?

You know as well as i do that the Wii is just slightly more powerful than the PS2. Most Wii games are not even PS2 quality anyway.

How can it be barely stronger then the PS2 when the Gamecube was way more powerful the PS 2 and the Wii is atleast 2,5 times more powerful then Gamecube?
How can it be the Wii´s fault if games have worse quality then PS2 (which isn´t true), it´s developers being lazy for Wii games not being as good as they could and they still are better then most PS2 games even if they aren´t as good as the should have been.
