Why do you all think it is the same thing? The dsi is a whole new console. It will have exclusive games apart from the ds, different features, and more. Will this be tracked as a different system? I think it should. The psp2000/3000 are true upgrades, not separate consoles, and that is why they had a minor sales boost and then returned to normal sales again. The difference here is that the psp discontinued previous versions whereas the dsi will be sold concurrently with the dslite. The question is whether or not the dsi can assume the role of the dslite in the way the psp2000 did for the psp. I think that's a huge difference. |
Earlier you said the DSi wasn't much new, now it's a major upgrade? You say it will have exclusive games, different features and more - this is not enough to attract new sales?
So a true upgrade means you don't upgrade much at all?
Japan has seen quite the boost to DS sales with DSi selling the majority.
