Erik Aston : what you say is the theory. In practice, and I experienced this several time in other domains, shills are so clueless, they don't stand long against experienced people (and I'm NOT experienced at all in video games). You know what's scary ? Let me tell you: I refrained from saying anything for a while, trying to wait for a good time to reveal what I think. Now, what's scary, is that usually, when shills are discovered, they go nuts on the discovered accounts, as it then become useless. Sometimes, they launch a parallel attack of pure hate with another account, hoping people forget about their main one. But if all is lost, some burn it in flame. So perhaps it's pure coincidence, but I find "the guy" to behave exactly how I thought he'd behave after I say he was a shill, and that's pretty scary. And I would like to add that this site, by its very nature, is typically the kind of site that is targeted by shills, as it can do lots of PR damage, because the front page is very visible and clear, and especially because of some of the companies cited on the front page, which use methods I know far too well. And shills wouldn't bother me if they didn't make every interesting thread worthless.
