Since launch the comment that "Game X looks just like an XBox game" has been pretty common about XBox 360 games; before launch I heard that comment from several people when I was hanging out at Walmart and they had a 360 on display. For the most part people were not trying to insult the XBox 360 games as much as it was a demonstration of ignorance and lack of an understanding of the underlying graphical effects.
Basically, if you show someone a screenshot from an XBox 360 game one day and the next day show the same person the screenshot from the PS2 build of the same game most would probably assume that it was the same game.
