Well, it seems like japanese developers arent affraid of making a game with PSone-PS2 level of graphics for HD platforms. Disgaea 3 and Atelier Rorona show that some japanese developers do not really believe in the Wii's core audience. If can become a trend for japanese developers.

However, one shouldnt underestimate the Dragon Quest effect, after all. This alone ensures that niche RPGs will be coming to the Wii. It's just questionable whether it will get more of them than PS3.
