Hmmmm.... no replies.. I'll just elaborate on my first message.

The last Zelda handheld game, The Minish Cap, sold just over 1 million copies worldwide, including only 270,000 copies in Japan.

So far, sales of Phantom Hourglass in Japan have nearly equaled the total worldwide sales for Minish Cap, despite the fact that the Zelda series is not nearly as popular there as it is in North America and Europe...

I think Phantom Hourglass will sell about 350k in its first week, not enough to dethrone Halo 3, but still a pretty good seller.

What did Zelda TP sell in the first week? If PH has a similar pattern in NA as Japan it will have long legs.

Well, TP was released on 11/19/06, as a launch title for the Wii. TP sold 441,285 that week compared to 535,008 Wiis sold which is pretty impressive.. nearly everyone who got a Wii bought TP to go with it.

A month later, the GameCube version debuted with 292,353.
