Yes it was a bad comedy. This idea dont have a chance in at least 15 years.
It's not just that there is a psychological barrier (because ppl want to own their hardware and games) and a competition barrier (from Nintendo, Sony, MS etc) but it's also technically impossible. Games will not be streamed through a movie.
Many commentators like Dean Tahashi made fools out of theirselves for being positive on this OnLine.
