There is so much wrong with this graph, it is not even funny.

 

 

Graph shows that PS3 sold much more than PS1 in 3 years. So it would take miracle for PS3 NOT to outsell PS1.

 

 VGchartz doesn't have complete data for the PS1 era, so those numbers are not the PS1's true sales

 

Graph says PS3 sold 21 million in 3 years and Ps1 sold 8 million in 3 years. And lets say Vgchartz undertracked PS1 by 6 million ( still a LOT, probably not true), PS3 still outsold it by 6 millions.

VGC didn't undertrack the PS because it wasn't around to actually track it.  All they have are incomplete historical sales data to go by.

 

Actual shipments from Sony were 43 million by year 3.  I don't see the PS3 hitting 43 million by November, do you?

 

 

 

So why is there Blast From The Past on the main page of the web site?
