Why are so many people on message boards threatened by PS3?

Popularity bodes enemies. Sony held the crown for 2 generations straight. The PS2 made gaming mainstream, achieving the most consoles sold EVER(more then any in the history of gaming,check wiki). Bitter Dreamcast, XBOX, Gamecube fans, and the like all have formed union on trying to bring the PS3 down.

When the PS3's sales were not as expected by Sony, these people were the first to get their kicks and jollies in. THey relish in the fact that the PS3 is in 3rd.

Now that Sony and the PS3 are back on the right track, they are desperate. Desperate to find the negative in all this positive energy. You want games?Sony is giving us more games then ever thought possible for it. You want features? Sony has designed the PS3 in a way that it acts like a blank slate, that way whatever we ask for they can manipulate it into our wishes. Now that Sony has done those things the last standing argument is price(which differs in opinion) and the system sales (when once upon a time we as gamers didn't care about sales 0_O?).
